Linda Sanders, 62 of Des Moines, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Ivy Hill Cemetery at Malcom, Iowa with Pastor George Salnave officiating. No visitation is planned. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League.

Linda Rae Sanders was born September 6, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of J.I. McCown and Jean Fayer. Linda graduated from Montezuma High School in 1968. She was united in marriage to Mark Sanders on December 17, 1982.

Linda enjoyed collecting angels, dogs, and watching movies. She loved the Lord and her family and loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother Jean Fayer.

She is survived by her husband Mark Sanders of Des Moines, her father Kenneth Fayer of Deep River, her daughters Michell Shook and Melissa DeLisle both of Des Moines, her six grandchildren; Jeremy Mann, Blade Street, Anthony Jr., Dante, David and Alissa DeLisle; her brother Ron Fayer and her sisters Marvita McCown and Nancy Fayer.
